Every year the Staff Selection Commission of India, widely known as SSC, publishes the official notification for recruitment of Junior Engineers in government. Every year the notification is generally released in the month of October. SSC JE Recruitment 2018 Eligibility Criteria  

1.     Candidates must be more than 18 years old and less than 32 years old as on the date of filling application form.
2.     Only Indian Citizens are eligible to apply.
3.     Candidate must have a minimum educational qualification of Bachelors of Technology or engineering diploma from a university/institution which is duly recognized by the Central/State Government.

How to Apply for the SSC Junior Engineer Recruitment Process 2018?

1.     Candidates have to apply for the JE Recruitment through the official website of SSC.
2.     The application form has to be filled in 2 parts.
3.     In Part- 1 candidate have to login and fill all the required personal information like name, father’s name, age, etc. By doing this and clicking on ‘Submit’ a registration number and password for the candidate will be generated by the online portal.
4.     Using this number and password candidate have to proceed to Part- 2 of the application form and upload his passport size scanned photograph and scanned signature.
5.     Doing all this will lead to successful completion of application form.
6.     Make sure to fill only one application form per candidate as multiple forms will lead to rejection.

SSC JE Exam Pattern 2018

The SSC JE exam will be conducted in 2 stages namely: Paper-1 and Paper-2. Paper-1 will be a MCQs paper which will consist of 200 marks. On the other hand paper-2 will be a descriptive paper and will consist of 300 marks. Also, it is important on part of candidate to know that there will be a negative marking scheme in the exam and 1/4th of the marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Selection Procedure for SSC JE Recruitment 2018

The Selection for post of SSC Junior Engineers will be conducted in two Stages. In stage one candidates have to appear for the Computer based Examination/paper-1 (already discussed above). Those candidates who will obtain the minimum qualification marks will be qualified and will proceed to the next stage which is a written examination/descriptive paper/paper-2 (already discussed above). After the exams are successfully conducted by Staff Selection Commission, a final merit list shall be prepared and the further/final selection of candidates must be done thereon.
